Nonprofit Navigator's Mission

Loudoun County has more than 3,500 registered nonprofits, yet no central, searchable directory to help residents discover them. Our mission is simple: make Loudoun’s nonprofits easy to find and connect with.

We began by combing through every IRS‑registered nonprofit in the county, removing organizations that were inactive, defunct, or lacked an online presence. What remains is a curated directory of current nonprofits, paired with intuitive filtering tools that help you connect with the organizations that align with your goals.

Accuracy matters, and maintaining it is a team effort with our county’s nonprofits. We've contacted each organization to verify the details you’ll find here, and we continuously update information as nonprofits evolve.
The People Behind the Mission
We’re a mother‑daughter duo who’ve always loved community service — the kind of people who perk up at the mention of donation drives and volunteer opportunities. But finding the right fit (in our case, age-appropriate volunteer opportunities) was way harder than it should be. And that’s when we realized something surprising: Loudoun doesn’t have a central, searchable database of nonprofits.

So we decided to build one.

We sifted through thousands (seriously, thousands!) of registered nonprofits in Loudoun County and sorted them into categories based on the questions we saw people repeatedly asking on social media:
Where can I volunteer?
My teen needs service hours. Who should we contact?
I have items to donate. Who actually needs them?
Is there a nonprofit that helps with ___?

Our hope is that this website becomes your one‑stop nonprofit shop in Loudoun County. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, donate, support a cause, or simply discover some incredible organizations doing work that changes lives, we built this for you.
